Mir presents a video documenting her own gravitational 
experiments, examining the connections between science and art.

Saturday, February 4 - West Side Story and Other Music of the Americas

Choreographer Alee Reed and the kids of the Dancing Classrooms Youth Dance Company (DCYDC), a project of American Ballroom Theater (internationally known through the films Mad Hot Ballroom and Taking the Lead), join the Orchestra and guest conductor Gerald Steichen as they celebrate the dance music of North and South America. Through the music of Leonard Bernstein, Alberto Ginastera and Aaron Copland, children can dance along from their seats with the DCYDC and see how music and dance have gone hand-in-hand for centuries – how music inspires us to dance, and dance can inspire us to make music.
