It's time to start getting ready for the holidays! Get your freshly cut Christmas tree from one of these farms below. We are doing our best to update the article with the COVID-19 restrictions the farms have in place, however, please double-check before you plan your trip.


1. Anne Ellen Christmas Tree Farm 

Anne Ellen Christmas Tree Farm prides itself on its collection of beautiful Christmas trees - over fifty thousand trees to choose from. The farm also has a Christmas Shop, where you can have some hot chocolate, visit animals, and take a picture with Santa. The Christmas Shop will be open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 9 am to 5 pm.

Dates: October 2nd - December 23rd

Time: 9 am to 8 pm every day beginning November 14th. Fields are open until 4:30 pm every day for cutting

2. Barclay's Christmas Tree Farm 

Barclay's Christmas Tree Farm is a family-owned and operated Christmas Tree Farm. All Christmas Trees are just $65 for ANY size up to 12 feet! All Christmas trees over 12 feet are $120.

Dates: November 27th and every Saturday and Sunday, from Thanksgiving to Christmas

3. Battenfeld's Christmas Tree Farm 

Battenfeld's Christmas Tree Farm offers six tree species - Douglas Fir, White Pine, Spruce, Balsam Fir, Concolor Fir, and Frazier Fir. Pick your tree, cut it down and bring it to the Bailing Barn, which includes a Christmas Shop. Handsaws are available at the entrance to the farm for a $10 returnable deposit upon exiting. Tree carts are available at the Bailing Barn and throughout the property.

Dates: November 23rd – Mid December (closed Thanksgiving Day)

4. Elwood Christmas Tree Farm 

Long Island's most western 20 acre cut-your-own Christmas tree farm offers many different types of trees in a variety of sizes. You can take your own saw or they will cut a tree for you. Cut your own tree hours are Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to dark and weekdays from 3 pm to dark. The farm's precut tree lot remains open every day until 7 pm.

Dates: Starts November 23rd

Time: 10 am to 7 pm

5. Emmerich Tree Farm 

The farm includes Canaan Firs, White Spruce, Concolor Firs and Blue Spruces. Reservations are required to visit the farm. Reservations cost $40 plus a small service fee. The $40 reservation amount can be applied towards any tree or retail purchase at the farm. The farm is requesting preorders for their wreaths and seasonal decorations as part of their COVID-19 precautions.

Time: November 21st - 22nd 9 am - 4 pm; November 27th - 29th 9 am - 4 pm; December 5th - 6th 9 am - 4 pm

6. Fairview Tree Farm 

Enjoy your time on Fairview's scenic 60-acre farm. Hot chocolate and other goodies are also available at their concession stand. Hayride with Santa is also a highlight at this farm. Santa visits the farm on weekends in November and December from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM and tractor-drawn Santa hayrides are also available from 1 pm to 3 pm on weekends in November and December. You can also shop for their award-winning wreaths and ornaments at their Christmas shop.

7. Jones Family Farms 

Jones Family Farms covers 400-acre of farmland of which 200-acres cultivate Christmas trees. Reservations for Harvest Your Own Trees and Fresh Cut Trees are required on weekends. 

Dates: November 21st - December 24th, closed Thanksgiving Day

Time: 9 am - 5:30 pm daily (closed Thanksgiving Day and at 4 pm on Christmas Eve)

8. Maple Row Farm 

Maple Row Farm has been employing sustainable farming methods in Easton, CT for over two hundred years. Cut your own Christmas Tree or buy a pre-cut tree.

9. Shamrock Christmas Tree Farm 

Family owned and operated since 1987, Shamrock Christmas Tree Farm tree collection includes Douglas firs, Fraser fir and spruce trees. They also sell Balled trees and Charlie Brown trees. The farm also includes a Santa's mailbox and fourteen-minute train rides which take you on a tour of the entire farm.

10. Solvang Tree Farm 

Cut Your Own trees range in size from 3 ft - 9 ft. Varieties include Blue Spruce, White Spruce, Norway Spruce, Scotch Pine, Engelman Spruce. Any size cut your own tree is $60. Fresh Cut trees range in height from 6 ft to 10 ft and in price from $60 - $110. Your kids can also visit the animals and give them some grain.

Time: Wednesdays, Thursdays 12 pm - 4:30 pm; Friday - Sunday 9 am - 4:30 pm

11. Tilden Lane Farm 

Tilden Lane Farm is a family-owned and operated Christmas tree farm that has been run by the Tilden family in Greenlawn, New York since 1793. The farm opens to the public each year in the weeks before Christmas, offering both cut-your-own and pre-cut trees, as well as handcrafted wreaths, decor, and honey from their beehives.

Dates: November 28th - 29th; December 5th - 6th; December 12th - 13th

12. Wilkens Fruit & Fir Farm 

Douglas and Fraser Fir trees are available for choose-n-cut in the fields, including some pre-cut Fraser Fir trees. You need a reservation to pick a tree. Reservation is $40, which is a credit towards your tree (plus a small service fee). Enjoy a free cup of hot apple cider with every tree purchase!

Dates: Late August through mid-December; Open Wednesdays - Mondays; Closed on Tuesdays in November (except Thanksgiving week November 24th the Farm will be open)
