Jane’s Carousel, set on the East River in Brooklyn Bridge Park, is a magical venue for a fun Birthday Celebration!
Carousel Rides Parties take place during public hours and party guests have a separate line available to enter the Carousel. Wristbands are distributed for unlimited rides throughout the party.
Up to 15 party guests can enjoy the Carousel together at a time. Children require adult chaperones to ride the Carousel.
Food and Decoration
You are welcome to bring your own simple refreshments and tabletop decorations. In Summer and good weather, four 30”x 96” picnic tables with benches outfitted with colorful umbrellas will be provided in the popular outdoor picnic grove. In Winter months and on rainy days, a picturesque indoor seating area will be provided inside the Carousel pavilion.
Set up can begin 30 minutes prior to the party. Our Birthday parties are simple and fun affairs with minimal setup. If you are interested in a more elaborate party, we offer Private Events outside of our public hours. Permitted air-filled balloons, banners, tablecloths, pizza, sandwiches, cupcakes, cake & face painters.
Not permitted
Helium balloons, glitter, confetti, music/clown acts, balloon arches, additional furniture, photo booths, backdrops, popcorn or cotton candy machines, caterers, alcohol, grills, or other cooking machines. Please inquire about scheduling a private event for more elaborate parties.
Costs and Guest Count
- Parties are available at 11:30 am - 1:00 pm or 3:30 - 5:00 pm.
- Weekend parties cost $450 and weekday parties cost $350. They include 10 children.
- Additional children (up to 15 children maximum) are $30 each.
- Adults are considered chaperones and are not charged (maximum of 45 guests including children and adults).
- Due to limited space, an additional $30 charge per adult exceeds the 45 maximum total guest count.
- The final count of children and adults will be made during the party and the balance will be due after the party.
- All guests are counted whether or not they ride the Carousel, except infants under 1 year old.
