Learn and Practice Italian with New Friends Every Day!

Collina Italiana’s mini camp offers a fun, immersive, and educational experience for children of all language levels. Our program is designed for kids ages 3–8, and even age 2 if they are already enrolled in our programs. Children explore Italian language and culture through interactive games, music, dance, and a wide variety of engaging activities in a lively and supportive environment.

To ensure the best learning experience, children are grouped according to age and language level. Classes for bilingual kids use authentic Italian school textbooks and workbooks, helping them practice and expand their skills while enjoying a structured yet playful approach to learning.

The Italian Camp Program Includes:

Giochiamo in Italiano: Children learn Italian naturally through games, songs, and movement. This interactive approach helps kids remember words and phrases while having fun.

Vocabolario: Kids expand their vocabulary using books, flashcards, and hands-on activities that encourage active participation and engagement.

Arte Insieme: Campers unlock their creativity by making art while speaking Italian. This activity blends imagination and language learning, allowing children to express themselves fully.

Cinema Italiano: Children experience Italian through animated movies, cartoons, and educational videos. They learn to understand spoken Italian in context while enjoying storytelling.

Reading and Writing: For children ages 5 and older, as well as bilingual kids, this program strengthens reading and writing skills. Lessons include simple sentences, storytelling, and writing exercises designed to make literacy fun.

La Scuola Italiana: Bilingual kids explore history, geography, and science—all in Italian. Lessons are hands-on, making learning a new subject and a new language enjoyable and accessible.

Summer Camp – Outdoor Activities:

Campers enjoy daily outdoor adventures in the nearby playground and Central Park, both just a few blocks from the camp. Outdoor activities encourage socialization, teamwork, and physical fitness while giving children a break from indoor learning. Campers should bring a snack, lunch, and a water bottle to stay energized throughout the day.

At Collina Italiana, we strive to create a warm, stimulating environment where children not only learn Italian but also build friendships, enhance creativity, and develop a lifelong love for language and culture. By combining educational activities with outdoor play, arts, music, and cinema, our mini camp provides a balanced and enriching experience for every child.
